Headway is actively seeking a motivated professional to ensure successful delivery of service for the outpatient clinic. Outpatient supervisors provide dynamic and collaborative leadership, coordination of services, administrative supervision, and clinical supervision to our team members in service to our mission. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring program and team member success by meeting/exceeding performance goals; you will create/maintain functional team environments by exercising both critical thinking and emotional intelligence. Your relationships with various stakeholders including funders, accrediting agencies, and regulatory bodies that govern MN State Rules 29 and 47, among others, includes quality,  compliance, and coordination of service delivery with partners.

OVERARCHING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, direct, administratively supervise and develop team members.
  • Evaluate and improve service area(s) operations.

GENERAL TASKS RELATED TO OVERARCHING RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead, direct, administratively supervise and develop team members
  • Ensure team members are supported day-to-day and developed according to needs
  • Utilize Headway’s process to hire and orient qualified outpatient team members
  • Participate in organizational succession planning process.
  • Coach, direct, and mentor team members at teachable moments

  • Monitor service area performance and ensure productivity targets are achieved
  • Increase team members’ effectiveness and efficiency in current position.

  1. Effectively direct workflow
  • Manage fiscal operations to ensure financial viability of all Clinical Outpatient programs
  • Ensure scheduling and availability for new clients
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews and create individual development plans with team members.
  1. Partner and collaborate with identified stakeholders
  • Propose, design and implement new outpatient programs and partnerships
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with partner agencies
  • Coordinate, track, and ensure delivery of clinical services with partner agencies
  • Develop partnership criteria and goals
  • Monitor partnership success/address concerns
  1. Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Create/complete reporting as needed and necessary for stakeholder(s), timely & accurately
  • Ensure clinical supervision needs are met in accordance with regulatory requirements for licensure and or certification.
  1. Ensure cooperation with Service Level and Operating Level Agreements
  • Monitor and develop plans to increase service area customer satisfaction and quality
  • Promote cooperation, collaboration and integration with other Headway services
  1. Other tasks as necessary to meet/exceed the mission of the organization and the role
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required 

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or other related field required
  • 2+ years’ administrative supervisorial experience
  • 2+ years’ clinical experience.
  • Licensed as a mental health professional (LP, LPCC, LMFT, LICSW) 
  • Must have own car for work

Preferred but not required

  • Strongly preferred: Business Administration degree and/or experience
  • Board Certified Clinical Supervisor or within 4 months of being board-certified. 
  • 2+ years program supervision and management experience
  • 1+ years’ experience developing community partnerships
  • 1+ years program development experience
  • 1+ years Department of Human Service compliance experience
  • 1+ years’ experience of supervising an outpatient clinic
  • Proven ability to increase client outcomes 
  • Able to work evening hours
  • Ability to increase client outcomes
  • Ability to support a climate of high achievement and accountability
  • Ability to independently prioritize in conjunction with agency objectives
  • Ability to create/maintain a functional team environment
