Counselor FT or PT – Project Pathfinder, Inc. MN

Project Pathfinder has been working to prevent sexual abuse in Minnesota for more than 20 years. We provide psychotherapy, consultation, training and education to clients and the community. We lead the field in providing culturally-specific programming, as well as programming for special needs clients, including those with autism or other developmental delays.

Description of Position

Provide adult psychotherapy (both individual and group services) and assessment services for individuals who are convicted of a sexual offense, found to have harmed another sexually, or come forward on their own seeking help for problematic sexual behavior.

Project Pathfinder is seeking both full time and part time counselors at this time.



Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct group therapy
  • Conduct individual therapy
  • Schedule quarterly progress meetings with referral party (often the probation or parole officer)
  • Consult as needed with the team to make data driven and evidence supported decisions.
  • Complete charting in a timely manner
  • Assist clients in being financially responsible
  • Attend case consultation meetings (Tuesday mornings)



Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Schedule necessary evaluations sessions, complete evaluation summary and present to staff for placement
  • Complete necessary forms and related paperwork during evaluation
  • Formulate diagnoses and develop a treatment plan
  • Notify probation officer or other referral party in regards to acceptance or rejection of client to treatment


Licensed (or license eligible) as LPC, LPCC, LMFT, or LICSW, with experience in the sexual abuse field preferred.

Excellent communication, writing and clinical skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in human services related field in need of supervision hours
  • Project Pathfinder is willing to train individuals with little to no experience also.
